Celebrating Our Property Management Superheroes this National Property Managers Day

Friday 25 July marked National Property Managers Day, and here at Porter Matthews Metro, we took a moment to recognise the everyday heroes of our real estate world – our incredible property management team.

Behind every well-run tenancy is a dedicated property manager balancing the needs of landlords, tenants, and the business – all while navigating the challenges that come their way. From handling late-night maintenance calls, to ensuring legislative compliance, mediating delicate situations, and managing countless moving parts – our team does it all with professionalism, patience, and heart.

To celebrate the day, we held a small in-office get-together to show our appreciation and acknowledge the vital role our property managers play. It was a chance to pause, reflect, and give thanks for the tireless work they do day in and day out.

Our Property Management Superheroes

At Porter Matthews Metro, we believe our property managers are heart-driven superheroes. They juggle it all – managing properties, people, expectations, and often doing it all with a smile, even during the most trying moments.

National Property Managers Day, established in 2020 by REINSW and supported by Real Estate Institutes around the country, is a powerful reminder of how important this role is in our industry. REIWA President Suzanne Brown said it best:

“Property management is often challenging work, but it’s also incredibly rewarding. It’s one of the few roles that asks you to be a mediator, organiser, advisor and problem-solver, often all in the same day.”
